Marine Network Connectivity

If connectivity is important consult the product manual very carefully. Watch for units, which may support inputs but not outputs. Also watch for proprietary standards, which do not communicate with open standards like NMEA 0183 and 2000. The rule of thumb seems to be that the closer the unit is to commercial grade the more connectivity friendly it is. For the best connectivity options, look at high-end units.
