Boatronic Privacy Policy

Boatronic.com is a site with an interest in boat stuff. That's it. The site would not be here if we were not interested in boats, and people who own boats and buy stuff for boats! The site was set up for the owner's enjoyment of boating gear, due to an interest in fishing and boating. It was not set up to harass, spam, or use any sort of aggressive Internet tactics that we may experience from time to time.

Here's what we do:
Like almost every single website on the Internet, Boatronic collects visitor statics. This tells us if there is a growing interest in the site or not, and it tells us what people are searching for. If we find folks are search for particular items that we don't cover, then we research and may get those items on the site. This helps us grow the site and get more visitors!

Using standard technology, we can usually see geographically where our traffic comes from down to regional level. It's not always accurate, but it gives us a reasonably good picture about the major city or region you are visiting from. This way we can tell if boaters arrive here from coastlines, inland, east coast, west coast, etc. We cannot identify you personally from this information.

As you navigate through this website we track which pages visitors browse mostly, and what they are interested in. We use cookies to report which search terms people used to find us. Once you leave this site those cookies cannot be tracked by Boatronic.com and are erased if possible.

If you use a "remember me" function with one of our comparison tools, we will have to cookie you, because that's what cookies do...when you revisit the site we can tell you are a previous visitor and the system will "remember" your settings.

We are only aware of your personal information when you provide it. Our systems are not set up to identify who you are. You must provide your personal information by sending it to us through the "Contact Us" page, or by entering your information into a form, e.g. a survey, to receive coupons, a newsletter, or a prize contest.
