Display
The monochrome display supports 16 levels of grayscale, and a resolution of 480 pixels by 480 pixels. The screen measures 5 inches diagonally, and is backlit with an amber LED.
Fish Finder
The single frequency FishElite 480 transmits at 200 kHz and a maximum transmission power of 1500 W peak at peak or 188 W RMS. The maximum depth capability is 800 feet or 244 m and depends on water conditions and transducer installation and device configuration.
Fish Finder Features
Set audible alarms for shallow water deep water and fish activity. The standard auto functions are included like automatic ranging, auto bottom tracking, and zoom bottom tracking. A speed sensor is not included, but is included with similar model SeaCharter 480DF.
GPS Receiver
This unit uses an external 12 channel GPS+WAAS receiver.
Memory
Custom maps may be loaded into 256 MB of mapping memory, through MMC and SD data cards. Sonar and GPS records may also be stored, and user settings saved on power down.
