Display This 5.0 inch, TFT LCD, color screen supports 256 colors. It is a high-resolution display of 640 pixels by 480 pixels. The screen and keypad are backlit and can be set at different light intensities.
Fish Finder The dual frequency sonar pings at 50 kHz and 200 kHz with cone angles of 35° and 12° respectively. Acoustic sonar waves are transmitted at 4000 W peak to peak and 500 watts RMS. This results in a maximum depth capability of 1500 feet.
Fish Finder Features The 642 CDF continuously displays bottom contours in automatic mode because it tracks where the bottom is. You can zoom in to further analyze structure and fish signals. Use the split screen to watch and zoom mode and normal viewing. Set up fish alarms, shallow water alarms, and deep-water alarms.
GPS Receiver The GPS receiver antenna is built-in to a unit. It scans the horizon with 12 GPS channels in parallel and is equipped with WAAS capability which increases GPS coordinate accuracy when active.
Memory Up to 1 GB of mapping memory is available to be loaded from MMC cards or SD cards. A data card slot is available to accept memory cards. Backup memory stores sonar and GPS records, and user settings when the unit is turned off.
Built In Maps A standard Eagle background map is built-in which covers the continental US and Hawaii. It includes over 60,000 navigational aids and 10,000 wrecks and obstructions in US coastal waters and the Great Lakes. It also includes land maps with metro areas and selected highways and interstates.
GPS Features Save up to 1000 waypoints, 1000 event markers, 100 routes, and 10 plot trails. Select up to 42 inbuilt marker icons. Use the zoom feature to zoom from 4000 miles down to 0.02 miles. Set audible alarms to alert for arrival to appoint, off course situations, and anchor settings.
Installation This unit accepts between 10 to 15 V DC input power. The overall size is 5.4 inches high by 6.9 inches wide by 3.4 inches deep. It is waterproof and suitable for saltwater use.
