This is convenient because interesting bottom structure can be observed without having to pass directly overhead. Also side imaging has a high frequency, low depth, and so displays higher definition results. Additionally, dual frequency sonar scans directly under the boat with low frequency for deep water use and high frequency for better definition. Display
This is a high resolution TFT display with 640 vertical pixels and 480 horizontal pixels. It measures 5 inches diagonally and displays up to 256 colors. It is especially designed for viewing at an angle and bright light conditions. It has an adjustable backlights for night fishing.
Fish Finder
This sonar unit offers unique site imaging which is limited in distance but high in detail area. Although side imaging has a depth and side image limitation of 150 feet, it offers a perspective that just isn't possible with the standard downward looking transducer. A lot of fishing takes place in depths less than 150 feet. The two side imaging transducer elements have a coverage area of 86° at -10 DB. Acoustic transmissions are transmitted at a frequency of 455 kHz.
The downward looking sonar frequencies are standard 83 kHz and 200 kHz with coverage areas of up to 60° and 20° at -10 DB respectively. A maximum depth of 1500 feet can be achieved with the right water conditions, the right sonar settings, and a correct transducer installation. The maximum achievable depth is 1500 feet.
Fish Finder Features
Observe sonar signals in real-time or use the digital flasher in real-time. Connect with a PC to transfer data and upgrade software. There are four adjustable zoom levels.
