Humminbird 997c Combo Fish Finder GPS Side Imaging Sonar With GPS And ColorThe Humminbird 997c SI offers side imaging which can be described as underwater aerial photography, because side scanning sonar operates at 800 kHz returning extremely high detailed images. These images are rendered on a high-resolution full-color screen and clearly distinguish this Fish finder from the competition.
Relevant Product Numbers 997c SI Combo is the standard model number.
997c SI Combo NVB -includes preloaded Navionics Gold and HotMaps Premium maps
Display The color TFT display measures 8 inches diagonally. It has a resolution of 480 vertical pixels by 800 horizontal pixels. A backlight assists with low light or night fishing.
Fish Finder Side imaging sonar is the key function of this unit. Side imaging operates at 455 kHz, which gives a range of 360 feet on each side and 150 feet deep. Coverage area is 86° at -10 DB per side. An 800 kHz frequency transducer element is included for even sharper imaging, but with reduced range and coverage area of 72°.
Traditional vertical sonar uses a standard transducer transmitting at 200 kHz and 83 kHz, with 20° and 60° coverage areas at -10 DB respectively. A maximum achievable depth of the 1500 feet is possible with the standard transducer. The standard side imaging transducer part number is XHS 9 HDSI 180 T. An optional transducer with a low frequency element of 50 kHz allows a maximum depth of 3000 feet.
Fish Finder Features A dual microprocessor and graphics coprocessor quickly handle electronic data and signals for this high-performance unit. Adjust Fish finder settings for best freshwater or saltwater fishing. Use real-time sonar, which operates at up to 40 times per second, to interpret signals in an instant. Pause the screen to further inspect results. Zoom with four different levels. A surface water temperature is built into the transducer for temperature readings. A speed paddlewheel is also included.
The 997 C SI is a Humminbird fishing system with plug-and-play compatibility to other Humminbird devices, e.g. CanonLink which monitors and controls up to six select model Canon downriggers.
GPS Receiver The 16 channel GPS receiver antenna is an external WAAS and EGNOS capable receiver.
Memory Feature memory retains user settings. To memory card slots except device software upgrades and map software upgrades.
Built In Maps A Unimap showing the US coastline and inland waterways is built in and has a resolution of 30 m or about 100 feet per pixel.
GPS Features A man overboard function identifies a coordinate with the touch of a button. A trip log records distance, time and speed. A PC connection is available.
Installation Power input of 10 to 12 V DC is required. When mounted the unit dimensions are 11 1/4 inches wide by 6 3/4 inches high by 4 1/4 inches deep. This is a waterproof device. |
