Lowrance LMS 480M DF Fish Finder GPS

lowrance lms-480m-df

Deepwater & Down Riggers

Choose dual frequency and saltwater action while saving with the Lowrance LMS-480M DF. This deepwater device, ideal for downriggers, offers connectivity options, custom mapping options, and data storage abilities of other high-end units. The only difference is the lower cost monochrome screen. This could be a good choice for those who don't need color. The standard product number with included transducer is 117-151.

Display
The monochrome 5 inch display has a high pixel count of 480 x 480 pixels, and uses a high 10 level grayscale screen to convey needed sonar and GPS resolution. The multiple level backlight is ideal for low light navigation and night fishing.

Fish Finder
This dual frequency sonar reaches a depth of 2500 feet or 762 m given good water conditions and a correct transducer installation. The sonar operates at two frequencies of 50 and 200 kHz, with cone angles of 35° and 12° respectively. Power output is 4000 W peak to peak or 500 W RMS.

Fish Finder Features
Set important alarms for shallow water, fish presence, and even deeper water. This Fish finder continuously displays subsurface contours and fish activity. Many common tasks can be set to function automatically like ranging, tracking the bottom, and zoom bottom tracking. The split screen is useful for analyzing results at different depths.

GPS Receiver
Conveniently mount the external receiver antenna to achieve the best signals. The included LGC 3000 receives over 12 channels in parallel, is NMEA 2000 ready, and WAAS capable.

Memory
256 MB of mapping memory are built in and will store loaded maps. One MMC slot, which is SD card compatible, is available to import custom maps or record sonar or navigational data. Backup memory stores user settings when device is powered off.

Built In Maps
The standard Lowrance background map is built in.

GPS Features
Save up to 1000 waypoints and up to 1000 event markers. Save up to 100 routes and 10 plot trails. Zoom into your maps in 39 different settings all the way down to 0.02 miles. Choose from a wide range of custom maps which can be added optionally.

Installation
Power requirements are 10 to 15 V DC and a sonar current drain of 500ma when the lights are off. The current drain of 700 ma amps may be observed with the GPS when lights are on.

Relevant Product Numbers
The standard product number for the 480M DF is #117-151 and includes a transducer.
