Display
The 5 inch monochrome display uses 10 levels of grayscale for better definition. In addition it supports a high 480 x 480 pixel resolution. Viewing preferences are programmable. The backlight supports multiple lighting levels.
Fish Finder
The LMS – 480M will reach a maximum depth of 1000 feet. Sonar is transmitted at a single frequency of 200 kHz with a cone angle of 20°. Power output is 4000 W peak to peak and 500 W RMS. The Skimmer transducer has a temperature sensor built in.
Fish Finder Features
Set the Fish finder to alert you for important signals like shallow water, fish activity, or even deeper water. For even further convenience, you can set it to track the bottom automatically, zoom to the bottom contour and track it. You can also view and zoom in split screen mode, or view sonar results and the GPS map in split screen.
GPS Receiver
Experience highly accurate readings when both GPS and WAAS signals are enabled. To further enhance positional accuracy and WAAS capability, the LGC 3000 receiver antenna may be placed in an external or most optimal position to receive signals like the bow or stern. The GPS receiver of course receives on 12 channels in parallel.
Memory
256 MB of mapping memory is available. This unit can store sonar records and user settings when switched off. The GPS information can also be stored on MMC or SD cards inserted into the memory card slot. Save sonar logs there also.
Built In Maps
The standard Lowrance map is built in.
GPS Features
Use the map zoom feature to scale maps from 4000 miles all the way down to 0.02 miles in 39 increments. Up to 1000 waypoints and 1000 markers can be saved. Save up to 100 routes and 10 plot trails. Choose from 42 marker icons. Set audible alarms for destination arrival, off course conditions, and anchor drift. Receive positional updates every second. Custom maps may be loaded into mapping memory. Up to 10 languages are available.
Installation
10 to 15 V DC are acquired the power the unit and will draw current between 500 ma using only sonar and the lights off, up to 700ma using GPS and the lights on. The waterproof case dimensions are 5.4 inches high by 6.9 inches wide by 3.4 inches deep.
