Display
The Eagle SeaFinder 245 DS has a monochrome LCD with a diagonal viewing area of 4 inches, it is 240 vertical pixels by 160 horizontal pixels. The monochrome screen has four levels of grayscale. The screen is backlit with an incandescent bulb.
Fish Finder
This sonar operates at 83 kHz and 200 kHz. A Skimmer transducer with temperature sensor is included with the package. The transducer coverage area is up to 60° and 120° respectively. Power output is 1500 W peak to peak and 188 W RMS. The maximum sonar depth is 1000 feet or 305 m. depth capability depends on water conditions depth finder settings and transducer installation.
Features
This depth finder continuously outputs depth readings and fish activity results. Alarms include deep water, shallow water, and fish activity. It will auto bottom track and zoom bottom track. This unit does not have a split screen zoom. It does have a surface water temperature sensor built into the transducer. A built-in memory store settings when the power is off. This unit can operate in 11 different languages.
Installation
10 to 17 V DC is necessary to operate this unit. The case size is 5.8 inches high by 4.3 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep. It is specified waterproof and suitable for saltwater use. The standard current draw is 170ma with the light off and 240ma with the light on.
