Dual Frequency Echo Sounder

The affordable Furuno LS 4100 is an excellent fishfinder with bright monochrome display and delivers direct bottom line fishing results through Furuno fish finder technology and a selection of matched quality transducers.

Display
It uses a 5 inch monochrome LCD display which is 76 mm wide by 100 mm high and the screen resolution is 240 x 320. It uses four levels of grayscale.

Fish Finder
Sonar transmits at the selected frequency of 50 kHz or 200 kHz. Maximum transmission rate is 500 pulses per minute. Pulse widths are between 0.1 and 0.8 ms. Output power is 300 W RMS. The maximum display depth is 1500 feet.

Features
This unit can display either single frequency at 50 kHz or 200 kHz, or it can display dual frequencies. A zoom function is available, including bottom zoom, and bottom lock. Providing sensors are attached, the LS 4100 has the ability to display a variety of input signals including latitude and longitude and heads navigational abilities, e.g. setting waypoints, and navigating to waypoints.

The following NMEA sentences can be accepted: GGA, RMA, RMB, RMC, BWC, GLL, HDT, HDG, VTG, VHW, MTW, MWV, MDA, and XTE. The following NMEA sentences can be output: DBT, DPT, TLL. The following NMEA sentences can be output provided external data is available MTW*, VHW*, RMB*.

Installation
This unit uses a nominal 12 V DC and nominal current of 0.5 amps. The unit is waterproof to PX5. The dimensions when mounted on a pedestal are 170 mm high by 183 mm wide by 93 mm deep. The transducer might not be included with the package, so double check the online store description. Typically a transom mount transducer is included but may not be.
