Garmin FishFinder 140 Fish Finder Entry-Level SonarDisplay
This compact display has a diagonal of 4.7 inches or 9.9 cm. The viewing area has four levels of gray scale with 128 pixels across and 240 pixels high. The screen is 3.2 inches wide and 3.1 inches high. It is backlit with two levels of lighting and, of course, an off setting.
Fish Finder
The sonar unit itself as an output of 100 W RMS or 800 W peak to peak with a depth capability of 600 feet maximum. The depth finder operates at 80 kHz and 200 kHz frequency.
Features
A gain adjustment is available to control the sensitivity of return sonar signals. This allows you to adjust and filter out higher noise levels in various water conditions. This unit automatically tracks the bottom or you can manually set the desired monitoring depth. Audible alarms are built in for battery condition, shallow water, and depth monitoring.
Installation
Power requirements include 12 V nominal DC voltage at 0.5 amps with 8 W maximum power. The overall the size of the unit is 6.1 inches wide by 4.9 inches high by 2.6 inches deep. These full gasket units are water proofed to IEC 529, level IPX – 7.

Optional Extras
The Garmin 140 can be made portable using an optional battery pack so ideal if needed to be transferred to a smaller craft. The portability option includes a suction cup transducer and portable case. The flush mounting kit is optional which aids console or wall mount installation. |
