Humminbird 343c Fish Finder High Resolution ColorThe Humminbird 343 fish finder is really a color display version of the Humminbird 323 and similar in most major features but with a smaller screen size. By the way, the Humminbird web site lists this unit as 343 Combo, however neither the manual nor the spec sheet includes any GPS combo data or specifications.
Display
The 343 fish finder has a display size diagonal of 3.5 inches. It has a resolution of 320 vertical pixels by 240 horizontal pixels. It is a 256 TFT color display and specified sunlight viewable. Adjustable backlighting is included for night fishing in low light conditions.
Fish Finder
The Humminbird 343 depth finder has a power output of 300 W RMS and 2400 W peak to peak. The operating frequency is 200 kHz and 83 kHz with a sonar coverage of 20° and 60° respectively taken at -10 DB. This is a Dual Beam Plus class which means either the 20° are 60° beams can be viewed individually or at the same time.
Features
A standard transom mount Dualbeam Plus transducer is included. Real-time sonar is available from the digital flasher. A tilt and swivel mount with quick disconnect helps with unit transfer or storage. Split screen zoom levels can be set to up to four different settings with the highest being in an 8 times zoom level. A temperature sensor is installed in the transducer for surface temperature readings. Alarms include a depth alarm, fish ID alarm, low battery alarm, and temperature alarm.
Installation
The Humminbird 343 fishfinder uses 10 to 20 V DC. This specified current draw is 0.383 amps. The unit dimensions are 5.25 inches wide by a 7.4 inches high by 4 inches deep when mounted on the swivel tilt bracket.
