Humminbird 565 Fish Finder Ultra High 640 Vertical Pixel ResolutionDisplay
The Humminbird 565 fish finder has a 5 inch diagonal LCD monochrome screen with 12 levels of grayscale. This high-resolution display has 640 vertical pixels and 320 horizontal pixels. An inbuilt LED backlight is used for night viewing.
Fish Finder
565 Humminbird sonar is a dual beam unit with operating frequencies of 200 kHz and 83 kHz and a sonar coverage respectively of 20° and 60° at -10 DB. With an output power of 250 W RMS and a peak to peak power of 2000 W we get a depth capability of up to 800 feet depending on water conditions and transducer installation. A standard transom mount transducer is included with the package.
Features
Although this is a dual beam unit, fish symbols on the wider 83 kHz beam are only visible when Fish ID is turned on. In order to view signals separately Humminbird Dualbeam Plus is required which the 565 does not have. Dualbeam Plus is built into the 575 model is part of the Quadrabeam.
Real-time sonar signal can be viewed through a narrow window on the display. These are raw signals that are updating in real-time as fast as the unit can receive them. The intensity of the signals are described by the length of the line returned and not the color. In fact grayscale isn't used at all for this function.
Zoom view Can be selected using a zoom preview box on the right of the display once the zoom area is chosen on the right hand view, the magnification is displayed on the left hand view.
Among the Humminbird Fishfinder 500 series Only the 575 fishfinder splits the sonar view into separate frequencies. This model, the 565, combines both frequencies into the same display when Fish ID is turned on.
Big digit view displays that temperature and speed in a large digits that can be viewed from a greater distance.
Alarms can be set for depth, Fish ID, low battery, and surface temperature.
Installation
The Hummingbird 565 fishfinder uses 10 to 20 V DC of input power. When installed it is mounted on a tilt and swivel quick disconnect pedestal. Once mounted the overall dimensions are 7 inches high by 7 1/4 inches wide by 4 inches deep.
