Humminbird Matrix 47 3D Fish Finder 3D & Shaded Relief The Humminbird Matrix 47 has a unique feature: 3-D viewing around the boat position. This is accomplished using many beams at the same time.
Display
The matrix 47 monochrome display is 5 inches in diagonal. Screen has 640 vertical pixels and 320 horizontal pixels. 12 levels of grayscale provide age definition and shading.
Fish Finder
The Matrix 47 Hummingbird outputs 1000 W RMS and 8000 W peak to peak power and operating frequency of 455 kHz and 83 kHz. In two-dimensional mode the maximum depth capability is 1000 feet, in three-dimensional view the maximum depth capability is 240 feet. The 83 kHz beam looks directly down and because is operating at a low frequency it has a long range. The 455 kHz beams originate from a six elements transducer and are spread out to a total coverage area of 53° from side to side and 16° from front to back. The 455 kHz beam will produce very high definition ratings to a limited depth.
Features
The feature that stands out most about this unit is its ability to operate in three-dimensional viewing even if it is for a limited depth. Of course it can also operating two-dimensional mode for greater flexibility.
Standard features for this class of Hummingbird fishfinder include real-time sonar, depth alarm, fish ID alarm, and a low battery alarm.
Installation
Each installed unit requires 10 to 20 V DC off input power. A tilt and swivel mounting is included and overall dimensions are 7 inches high by a 71/4 inches wide by 4 inches deep.
