Garmin GPSMAP 276C GPS On Sea and On Land The Garmin GPSMAP 276C is suitable for Marine were automobile applications. One unique feature with this model is the course deviation indicator which is normally found on aircraft and can be used on the water also. Garmin maps can be added for improved navigation and positioning. The standard product number with internal antenna is 010-00331-00.
GPS This is a 12 channel parallel differential ready receiver.
Antenna The 276C is listed only as an internal antenna model.
Display The color display size is 3.0 inches by 2.2 inches. This is a high resolution model with 480 x 320 pixels and 256 colors. A slider adjustment in the menu is used to configure the back lighting.
Memory Mapping memory is not available but maps can be added using Garmin data cards. Memory is available to accept waypoints and store settings.
Built In Maps A built-in base map is included.
Waypoints and Routes Store up to 3000 waypoints, and 50 routes.
More Features NOTE: Although the Garmin web site specifications sheet lists sonar compatibility, the 276C is compatible with the GSD 20 Sounder which is listed as discontinued and appears to be replaced by GSD 21 Sounder. However GSD 21 uses a CANNET protocol, which the 276C is not compatible with. So if a sounder connection is important, research carefully.
Installation A rechargeable lithium ion battery is installed which last for up to 15 hours. The unit casing is waterproof up to IPX7. |
