Expandable GPS System

The Garmin GPSMAP 3006C with its 6.4 inch diagonal screen, is the smaller version of the Garmin GPSMAP 3010C. it has all the other features of the 3010C like the slim design, the tough outer casing, easy to view screen, and so many expansion options. The standard product number is 010-00348-00.

GPS
The GPS receiver has 12 parallel channels to acquire up to 12 orbiting satellites. Additionally it is a WAAS enabled receiver which can increase its accuracy up to fivefold. So for example while GPS is accurate to 49 feet, WAAS increases the accuracy to 10 feet.

Antenna
A Garmin GPS 17 WAAS enabled antenna is included in the package. This remote sensor may be placed in optimal positions on deck, like the bow or stern of the boat.

Display
The 3006C is fitted with a 5.1 inch wide by 3.8 inch high and 6.4 inch diagonal display with adjustable backlighting. This 256 color display has 640 horizontal pixels and 480 vertical pixels.

Built In Maps
A base map is already built into the unit. Expand the GPS capability by adding more maps, although each one it must be loaded directly from the card because mapping memory is not available.

Waypoints and Routes
Up to 4000 waypoints can be set and 50 routes.

Installation
The unit needs 10 to 33 V DC and the maximum of 25 W of power. Each 3006C measures 6.5 inches in height by 10.3 inches in width by 3.3 inches in depth. To protect your investment is casing is fully waterproof up to the IPX7 standards.
