Lowrance GlobalMap 4800M GPS Affordable MonochromeThe Lowrance GlobalMap 4800M is a precision GPS unit with an affordable 5 inch monochrome screen. It is compatible for marine networking. GPS
An external receiver is used and is included with the GlobalMap 4000M. This 12 channel parallel receiver part number LGC-12 W is installed externally to the display device.
Display
The monochrome display has 10 levels of grayscale and measures 5 inches diagonally. Screen resolution is 480 pixels by 480 pixels. The screen is backlit incandescently and multiple lighting levels can be set. The keypad is backlit also.
Memory
256 MB on a mapping memory is available. MMC and SD memory cards can record GPS coordinate information. Third-party maps like Navionics charts can be displayed.
Built In Maps
A custom Lowrance map is built in with enhanced offshore information like 60,000 navigational aids and 10,000 wrecks are abstractions in US coastal and Great Lakes waters. Major city streets, interstates and exits, and state highways are also included.
Waypoints and Routes
Up to 100 positional waypoints can be stored with 100 event symbols. 10 plot trails are savable with up to 9999 points per trail.
More Features
There are 39 zoom ranges which cover from 0.02 to 4000 miles. Backup memory ensures that settings are saved when the unit is switched off. 10 user selectable languages are available. It is compatible to NMEA 2000 networking.
Installation
Input power required is 10 to 15 V DC. The housing size is 5.4 inches high by 6.9 inches wide by 3.4 inches deep and it is waterproof and suitable for salt water boating. |
