The GlobalMap 8200c Chartplotter provides position precision and clarity and displays them on a big 8.4 inch screen in 16-bit color. Enjoy data transfer abilities through plug in memory cards, Ethernet, and RS-232 COM ports.

GPS
An external LGC 3000 receiver antenna is supplied with the 8200C and provides open skies coverage when mounted outside the cabin. The 12-channel receiver is WAAS capable.

Display
The 8200C has an 8.4 inch display with 16-bit color. This is a TFT super VGA screen with 600 vertical pixels and 800 horizontal pixels. 16-bit displays output 256 different colors. The adjustable backlight assists boaters in hard to read conditions.

Memory
MMC and SD memory cards can be installed and used at the same time. Although highly detailed maps are already installed on the hard drive, Navionics or other third-party mapping software can be loaded through memory cards.

Built In Maps
Built-in Lowrance maps include medium detail US maps and low detailed world maps. The US maps are full of general information like incorporated city positions, metropolitan areas, public lands, interstates and exits, state highways, and a large and medium-sized lakes and streams. The built-in map contains more than 60,000 navigation aids and in further interest to the boat angler 10,000 wrecks and obstructions can be displayed from coastlines and Great Lake areas. In a new development for 2007, 3000 improved lake maps better define shorelines, depth measurements, and underwater features.

Waypoints and Routes
There is no shortage of waypoints that can be stored on the 8200C. Imagine saving up to 1,000 waypoints and 1,000 event markers in one single unit. Up to 100 routes and 100 plot trails can be saved too.

More Features
NMEA 2000 allows data sharing with marine electronics networks. An Ethernet connection allows even more connectivity. Radar overlay is included in the advanced features list. Two NMEA 0183 standard RS-232 ports provide connectivity to radar, autopilot, and more.
