Color Display Fishing GPS

The Lowrance iFINDER H2O C is designed as a portable GPS primarily for boaters but can really be used by anybody in the outdoors. It is a waterproof color display model. A memory slot makes this a powerful unit for third-party navigational maps and software additions.

GPS
An internal antenna provides 16 parallel channels to capture GPS, WAAS, and EGNOS data. External antennas are optional.

Display
This unit uses a 256 color TFT display of 2.83 inches when measured diagonally. Screen resolution is quite high at 320 pixels by 240 pixels. A white LED backlights the screen.

Memory
1 GB of mapping memory is installed. Additionally a memory slot inside the battery compartment accepts third-party MMC or SD memory cards. GPS trip data can be saved on the cards and transferred to a PC or another GPS. Custom maps can be accepted through the cards and a search function used to find points of interest in local services. Optional Navionics charts can be used.

Built In Maps
The United States map is built in with medium detailed maps of interstates, highways, and off ramps. Midsize lakes and streams are also included. For those traveling worldwide low detail level maps provide details about major cities, lakes and rivers.

Waypoints and Routes
1000 waypoints and 1000 event marker symbols can be used. 42 symbols are provided for use. 100 routes with up to 100 waypoints each can be stored. 99 plot trails can be saved with 9999 points in each trail.

Features
Audible alarms can be set for arrival, off course, destination, and anchor position. A serial cable can be attached to transfer GPS data.

Installation
This unit uses two 1.5 V AA batteries which are good for up to 12 hours while continuously receiving one second position updates. A power adapter which fits a cigarette lighter is included. The overall dimensions are 5.6 inches high by 2.5 inches wide by 0.9 inches deep. The casing is water resistant and specified to meet IPX2 standards. The weight of the unit is 8.48 ounces when batteries are installed.
